Post-producing images: Mastering Aperture

Aperture is a photo management and editing program for Mac users. I do not use it personally but those who do cannot stop raving about it. I personally prefer Adobe Lightroom (you can try it from 30 days and it is even available for people using Windows).

But anyway, this post is about Aperture so we will stick to that! Continue reading “Post-producing images: Mastering Aperture” »

Depth of field in photography refers to the nearest and farthest objects in a photograph that “appear” to be in focus in a photograph. His positions are based on the positions that snipers usually take to give added stability. What more can we say?  Continue reading “Shoot like a sniper” »

Inspiration: Shooting with natural light

I was having a discussion with a friend the other day as we were going over some magazines. He was of the opinion that all pro pictures look great because they use great equipment. I chose to differ on the subject but he kept defending his point of view until I showed him some great examples of pictures that have been taken using only natural light.

The way to take these pictures is quite simple and you just have to be alert as to how the light is falling on your subject. Continue reading “Inspiration: Shooting with natural light” »
